I too took an interest in these birds with their striking pattern and always wondered why they were not freely available since so many people liked them. I’m in England (the England in Europe) and came across a pair for sale and so I jumped at them. Sold as Iranian highflyers. I paid a bit for them! They produced two rounds of youngsters all recessive reds and not a single white feather. Too good to be true. I felt a bit deceived actually. I did an internet search to find out about them and eventually contacted Frank Mosca in the USA who was able to solve this for me. I attach a web link with detailed information. There are videos on YouTube showing how to create this pattern. It’s not something I’d ever do so I gave the birds to a fancier just starting out.

Yes, as you've learnt, this phenotype is not natural and in my opinion quite cruel.

Absolutely Adam. And another reason to have, at least, a basic knowledge of pigeon genetics. Wound have saved me a few bob.
