Sexing

Post by Sam »

How would I sex an adult or baby pigeon if they haven’t exibeted any signs of mating. Do only males puff their necks out and coo? Is that a way to distinguish male from female?

If you can't sex them through behaviour or a sex-linked colour then a DNA test is usually fairly cheap.

Hello all
My name is Donny, I recentl acquired some bird from a friend who lives in the sam area as me. Just three day ago, I was contemplating the idea of conducting a [url=https://www.quickdna.com/products/anima ... 8415741207]Animal Breed DNA Tes[t/url] on these birds to determine their specific breed. could you please assist me if it's feasible? Have yo ever try it?

Thanks

I don't believe any company is offering DNA based breed determinations.
