Hello! How would I go about my first time letting pigeons fly? Especially how to call them back in?
Thanks!

It is best to get them used to the outside of the loft and the trap before they can fly well. Let the novelty wear off before they're too strong.
Teach them a call for food, eg a whistle or shaking the food etc, and make sure they're a little hungry when they go out so you can call them.

Ok! How old would you start them? I’ve taken my two youngest out as soon as they had enough feathers and if it was a warm day. They would follow me around and I’d walk them around the loft.

You can start them as young as 3 weeks if you like, and by 4/5 weeks they should definitely be into loft entry training. Teach them good habits from the beginning to avoid trouble later on
