Ash red spread x indigo? What chicks color should i expect

Post by Adfields »

Good day,
I have a question I need clarity on. Please I want to know what color of pigeon chicks I will get if I bred Indigo gene Pigeon with my ash red spread? And also if I bred Ash red spread with black or red what should I expect from their chicks. Thanks

Its not a mating I'd do, personally.

Indigo into ash red isn't too interesting. Indigo plus BLUE spread can produce andalusian, which is quite nice, but when ash red it there I don't think it is very pretty or interesting.

If the ash-red bird is a cock and carrying blue, then yes (cock or hen).
If the ash-red bird is a cock and is homozygous for ash-red, then no.
If the ash-red bird is a hen, then yes, hens only.
