Day old birds

I saw some short down/long down pigeon when they are born. Are there only two types? Short down / long down? Or theres more? And what sre probable color for them.

There are a few things you can tell at hatching. Like you said, there is down length, genes like dilute and stipper cause short down.
Recessive reds also have brown rings on the tips of their beaks at hatching.

There are more but that's a few quickly off the top of my head.
