Dilute gene vs Dirty Gene
I know that the dirty gene darkens colors and causes a black beaker and leg scales. If I were to cross this gene into a recessive yellow, (recessive red +Dilute) pigeon would the genes alter each others effects or would it result in a darker yellow bird with a black beak and scales.

I've never seen it done, but I'd assume the result would just be a slightly darker yellow.

So it wouldn't have black legs and beak?AdamArcher wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 7:05 pm I've never seen it done, but I'd assume the result would just be a slightly darker yellow.

The black legs of dirty only last a few weeks anyway. After the bird leaves the nest they start to turn red like normal.
