Schalie racing pigeon colour
my loft arrives in just over 3 weeks and a friend has gifted me some late bred birds and i called to see him this afternoon 6 birds in total a gay pied a blue pied a blue white flight a blue check and this one which he said was a shallie? any thoughts ?

thank you for that. but i guess that means i wont be able to reproduce it unless i get a partner that also carries the smoky gene

Her ? you think its a hen ? that will be nice what could i pair it to and what colours could i get she is from racing blood my friend races them but he said its the first time the parents have bred one that colour

Sorry, I somehow thought you said it was a hen. I have no idea on the sex. There aren't many other phenotypes that include smoky.
As for the parents, 1/4 of their young will be this colour. So one in every second nest on average.
