I made a Pigeon Base Color Genetics Chart.
Can you review it and make comments or if I need to make any corrections?

Re: Pigeon Base Color Genetics Chart
I think you copied one by mistake “hens will be blue carrying brown”. Hens can’t carry a second color.

Yep that's the only error I picked up too.HomeSweetHome wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 12:59 pm I think you copied one by mistake “hens will be blue carrying brown”. Hens can’t carry a second color.
Re: Pigeon Base Color Genetics Chart
Quite good for a first draft.
This chart is for the b genetic locus and should be marked as such. IMO, the genotypes for sperm, eggs, parents and babies should be included using appropriate symbols. Homozygous and heterozygous refer to gene pairs, not colors.
The word "red" should be changed to "ash-red" to distinguish that color from recessive red and the various bronzing types.
The wild type gene and the wild-type color (blue) should be identified.
