Black shield

Hello,
I’m working on getting a very dark black shield pigeon.
I have what I believe is a blue T-check hen mated with her father who is an ash red carrying blue. I’ve gotten several young blue (blacks) from this pair, but all seem to have lighter marking or even appear bronze-ish.

Here’s some of the offspring I’m getting:
Any suggestions how to get a darker black? Is it just a matter of a few more generations and getting a tight T-check, or is there other genes that are required.
I’d like to get a solid black shield like these:
