Clearwing mealy

Post by Johannes »

Just an observation.
I see this mealy feral pigeon a lot in town always impressed by the clarity of the wing coverts but not sure if this is a true mealy as it has white flights. When I bred white wing budgies, dirty wings was always an issue.

On a racing sheet this would be called a "mealy white flight".

That’s great to hear because one of my mealy American Show Racers turned out with white flights totally unexpected as none of my mealies have ever shown that. I like it but guess it has implications for show classes. I’ll have to look but thank you for the name it kinda makes it official.
