Re: Hybrid Vigor
Adam, yes I got the diagram from a booklet written by Hollander. The booklet is called "Project on Genetics". What is strange is that Hollander first talks about a term that Charles Darwin coined "Reversion" to the wild type. So is it correct to say that the original Belgian hom...

It look like "Eye Floater"
The term eye floater refers to deposits found in the vitreous body of the eye, which is the gel-like material covering the back of the eyeball. Is flecking affected by the pattern?
With an ash red cock carrying the blue base color: Is the blue flecking the same on all patterns? (1) Barless, (2) Bar, (3) Check (4) Dark Check? I would guess that the flecking is less with the Barless and increases with Bar pattern, then more with Check pattern, then the most with Dark Check. Is ...

Re: Ash red carrying brown cocks
Would you (1) pair a Brown cock to a ash red hen? Or (2) your Ash red Cock carrying blue to a Brown hen? I think the percent of success with pair (1) will be better than pair (2).

Mark from Virginia
I would like to introduce myself. I am Mark from Virginia, USA. I am a member of the RVA racing club. I enjoy watching Adam Archer's YouTube video about pigeon genetics. I am hoping to learn more about pigeon genetics, so I can one day breed a fast smart pigeon.
